Downloads > EV/EV Override > EVO Fixup Readme

(copied and pasted with some small changes from the readme file you get if you actually download the plug-in.)

To Begin With

If you think reading these sucks, try making them.

Installation

I'm not sure why I just typed that...

What it does

• Makes beam weapons in EVO 1.0.1 fire straight
• New and improved static
• Gives the Miranu Gunship one more gun space (if this seems to be unbalancing the game you may remove the ship resource with ResEdit)
• Makes first Azdgari mission possible to complete within the time limit.
• Replaces the grainy EVO main menu (compare with the one in EV) with anice smooth version.

How it does what it does

Sets the beam innacuracies to one instead of zero which seems to fix the problem. (EVO 1.0.0 is not afflicted by this bug.)

I used Color-it and the coppy and paste command with the EV main menu graphics and the EVO main menu graphics. It took some time but the results were quite satisfactory.

Compatibilities

Works with any plug-ins you'd use to play EVO normally (Beyond the Crescent, Triple Agent, Cloak Keep, Zidagar Enhancer Enabler, Etc.) If you're unsure of something just open it in ResEdit, along with EVO Fixup, and go through the resources to see whether they both have a resource with the same ID number.

What you can do to it

Tear it into two, erase all the pict resources, put it in a floppy and stomp on it, we don't care!

Version history

There are times when I wish I had motivated myself to make a read me a long time ago... Okay, okay, I remember enough!

1.0.3 Makes the menu fix be a seperate plug-in so you can use it with things like The Frozen Heart that don't need a fixup plug-in. Takes out the junk resource that accidentally got in there. Yet another example of why not to use EV-Edit.
1.0.2 Adds the fixed menu and the Azdgari mission fix.
1.0.1 Adds the static.
1.0.0 Initial Release, with the beam fix.

System requirements

The fact that you have this plug-in indicates that your system can run it.

Pertaining to the future

Tritanium Enterprises currently has a lot of source material for a very cool game, but the actual game is not getting anywhere at the moment for a number of reasons which will not be mentioned here.

Since our staff has some hardcore addictions going on with games like Starcraft, Warcraft, or EV, you can expect small map and plug-in releases from time to time. Eventually some of us would like to create a total conversion for EV Nova.
